Actions runs on your iPad and communicates over Wi-Fi with your computer through a small, free application called Actions Server which runs on your Mac or PC.
Actions uses Apple's "Bonjour" network discovery to automatically find and configure a connection with your computer. This means that if you want to use Actions with a PC you need iTunes to be installed on it. To freely download iTunes go here.

First thing first

1. Actions server must be running on your computer
Download Actions Server at
Install it or check this article Actions Server - Download & Installation

2. Your computer and your iPad have to be in the same wifi network

Connecting to your computer

Slide down with three finger to access the Set Library, then tap the monitor Icon to open the Network Panel.

Once Network Panel is open you will see a list of all available servers (computers on the local network running Actions Server). In the first row, highlighted in blue, you will see the currently connected server. Just tap on a server name to connect to that computer.

Connecting for the first time
When you attempt to connect to a computer for the first time, you will see on the lower area of the Network Panel a 4 digit password randomly generated by Actions. At the same time a dialog window will pop up on your computer, showing the request from your iPad and asking for the 4 digit password. Type the same number you see on your iPad and this will pair Actions to the computer running Actions Server.
This pairing only needs to be done once for each computer. Actions supports pairing with multiple computers to allow you to easiliy switch between them, for example between a laptop and a desktop.

On launch, Actions automatically searches for the available servers, and reconnect to the last paired computer if available. To connect to a different computer simply open the Network Panel and tap to a different name.
