I don't seem to be able to connect Actions to my computer which is connected via a cable rather than WiFi, though I am able to perform the test of the server application from the iPad.
I noticed that in the support docs for network trouble shooting that everything seems to stress that the computer be on the same WiFi network. It is on the same network, but no connected wirelessly.
Is that my problem?
no it’s not a problem to have your computer connected via cable to the network.
I just think that maybe for some reason the bonjour service on your computer is unable to find your iPad automatically in the network and you have to connect writing down your computer IP.
Can you confirm that the server test says “Successful test!”?
If the test is successful then try to connect Actions using the same IP in the Custom IP address.
IMPORTANT! before to connect Actions remember to STOP the connectivity Test from Actions Server , or Actions will not able to find Actions Server. Maybe this is the reason why you can’t connect now.
