I have a Windows 7 computer connected to the net with cable. It is in the same network as the iPad. I installed Bonjour as per your instructions.
After a lot of work I was able to make it work but after a little while the connection dropped and I have been unable to make it work again.

As you can imagine hardware/router/network combination are endless and sometimes it could be a little bit tricky to get a good connection, i’l do my best to help you find a stable connection.
Let me better understand your case:
1 – what connection have you tried? The automatic via bonjour did work? or you tried a Custom IP address?
2 – have you tried the connectivity test? in case it was successful have you turned it OFF? What IP and port number have you used?
3 – Can you have access to your router settings?
If you had a good connection in the beginning, you probably have to turn your router off and on again to get it again. Sometimes it helps a lot
